Carpet cleaning etiquette??

I came across this story on the internet this morning and felt I just had to share it. It tells the story of a carpet cleaning firm based in Plymouth who harassed a customer for a cancellation charge after she suffered a miscarriage and needed to cancel their carpet cleaning appointment. While this was short notice she did have a very good reason for doing so.

I have had customers cancel on me with short notice, and while I find it inconvenient there is not a great deal I can do about it, so it is something I just have to suck it up and move on.

It certainly does not warrant the type of behaviour exhibited by the company at the centre of this whole story. As well as been unacceptable behaviour they are now being investigated by the police. This I am sure will have a very negative effect on the future of the business after the story was published in a national newspaper providing lots of negative publicity.

I can assure all my customers that they will never experience this type of behaviour from myself.

I run a professional business and without my customers, there would be no future for my business....only a lot of dirty carpets and sofas!!
